With the B2B portal, the KAO Salon Division responds to customer needs and actively supports customer communication by providing up-to-date advertising media that can be personalised.

Challenge

KAO Germany, the world’s leading provider of hair care and cosmetics products based in Darmstadt, Germany, had the goal of creating a mobile-optimized B2B portal for the two hairdresser-exclusive brands Goldwell and KMS California. The existing Goldwell portal was to be renewed and expanded in order to further expand the salon business with its exclusive hairdressing claim and to make it more attractive for customers.

Solution

The new KAO Salon Marketingplatform is accessible to all Goldwell and KMS California customers after a one-time registration and offers KAO Salon customers for the first time an overview of the Goldwell and KMS California brands. Only the matching product groups that belong to the respective salon range are displayed. Hairdressing salon owners can download information, materials, image data and product texts on current trends, collections and products, which are updated regularly. All data is available for use in the salon and is optimised for all end devices. Salons benefit from the wide range of communication templates and inspiration: Individual campaign templates and materials for customers are available to you. And that’s full responsive for all end devices from desktop to smartphone.

Summary

In a Blitz survey, users rated the marketing support as very helpful and the shop as the most important area. The KAO Salon Portal was launched for Germany and Austria.
