First charging tariff comparison portal for new customer MAINGAU Energie

After successfully winning the tender, Triplesense Reply – the UX and platform specialists of Reply – presents the first project for the energy supplier MAINGAU Energie. Together with the Frankfurt-based digital agency is developing Germany’s first tariff comparison portal for car charging rates in this form.

Thanks to the pioneer project, consumers receive a free overview of car charging tariffs that apply throughout Germany. LOWAGO thus brings transparency to an extremely fast-growing market and solves the problem of the opaque tariff landscape. After entering their specific vehicle parameters and charging habits, users receive the tariffs of all participating providers that are optimally suited to them.

Based on the business model designed by MAINGAU Energie, Triplesense Reply developed the corresponding user experience, created the interface design and implemented the new LOWAGO platform. The most innovative technologies in the AWS Cloud were used. The Frankfurt-based company is responsible for the planning and implementation of future features in a further iteration. LOWAGO is a new brand of MAINGAU Energie and thus a new business segment. The comparison portal is promoted via specially created LOWAGO profiles in the social channels Facebook, Instagram, Xing and LinkedIn. Regionally, out-of-home measures such as electric vehicles in the branding of the new brand attract attention.

“The tariff comparison portal LOWAGO is a completely new, attractive and useful offer for all electric car users. It offers enormous added value to consumers in the electric mobility market. Additional insights into tariff searches and charging behavior enable LOWAGO to better understand this new market and thus create products and digital services tailored to the needs of users,” comments Thorben Fasching, Partner at Triplesense Reply and Executive Partner at Reply.

In the run-up to the long-term project, Triplesense Reply successfully beat the competition in a tender for the mandate from MAINGAU Energie, based in Obertshausen, Hesse.
